The four works created by Charles Gran and Kim Vetter are characterized by their range of subject matter and intensity of emotion. Dealing with religious fervor, nomadic peoples, political double-speak and even creation itself, these artists have draw their themes from the Bible, science, Nietzsche, and television news. Fascinated by the emotion of the stage they have created visceral works of dance-theater that are both intense and approachable.
WORDS AND DEEDS is an examination the events of 1993 in Waco, Texas. This piece imagines the experiences of the Branch Davidians as they endure the assault and the Federal agents who order the attack and explores the magnetism of David Koresh. For three dancers, this score features electronic music that accompanies virtuosic live cello.

GENESIS is a choreographic expression of atomic creation, primeval ooze, and microbial tribalism. This work attempts to evoke the chemical-biological drama of the birth of life. Shimmering choral textures accompany fantastical movement in this beautifully engaging piece.

ECHOES OF ROM was created for Kim's 2003 show Gypsies, Zealots and Pieces of Me. this work tells the story of one woman's upheaval and journey to a new land. Informed by loss and expectation, this piece for six singer-dancers combines riveting caspian a capella singing and hypnotic movement.
